[18.8.08] Concert in Mysliborz moved to 30.8.08

It would have been nice, and I've been looking forward very much. But unfortunatelly I have to say, that thanks to the amateurism of the managing people in Poland, which moved terms so often so it happened that the accompany band is somewhere else, the term has established to 30.8.08. But as the band is at the different place so it is going to be a solo performance - alone by a guitar and piano. ... On the square :o). ... So will see :o).

[7.8.08] A dawning above Mseno

On the way back from Houska I had to stop in the fields (I was at Houska from 10.30 am and I left at 5 am) and there, by a chance, it offered me a magnificent view - the dawning in fields.

[1.8.08] Cafe Metropol, 31.7.08

We were given an opportunity to play in the group, which is the best for me - with Mocik and Mila. Approximately two months ago I was asked by new owner of Café Metropol (former Dinitz), if I wouldn't play in his club. As I have for bar playing - for snobs meal, I haven't considered it perspective. But as it was a new owner, and not the one by which it was named Dinitz, and by which we - after the experience from January 2007 - decided we don't want to play there, we wanted to give him a chance, to make a picture. I was guest-accompanied by Oleg from Rhapsody and even if Diego shut us down on mixpult so we heard ourselves more from us than from the reproboxes, they liked the performance very much. I didn't like it much. When Andrew (the owner) called me due to next date, I explained to him picturesquely my worries, experiences and attitude for bar playing, and expected we say goodbye. And what happened was, that he's left me a free hand in sound. repertoire and picking the companions. So on 31.7. we enjoyed it very much and so the local audience did. The owner was satisfied and so were we, so it's very probably, that there's gonna be the "home" bar again in Prague, where we could meet by three-hours program Unplugged, better than long time ago was the Rhapsody.

[23.7.08] Queen Convention - Balatonszemes, 18.-20.7.08

So I spent some time in Hungary by Balaton, by the opportunity of those Queen Convention, arranged by The Hungarian Queen Fanclub. It was just amazing, everyone was very hospitate and splendid, we've had great assistants and my companion for the whole travel and stay was one of the best assistants and nice people I could ever wish for :o). Thanks for the beautiful company to all the people which became friends.

[9.7.08] Chimney swifts - media. Part 3 - The releasing of an article has been shifted again to August

I am concerned to write that I've been informed, that in the edition there are some "vacation messes" and the release of an article has been changed again. So if you're not a pure fan of MF Dnes, on Saturday 12.7. don't buy it. It's a little comedy. I'm concerned a little bit, as it is about  first chimney-swifts, but those are the ways of some media. The article will come fitfully to release on August and of course the info will be on the web in advance.

[25.6.08] Good class - we're not alone :o)

It's not off-the-way sometimes to write about someone else and the projects, which I've been taken an interest.  Some time ago, after long time, we've met with one classmate from elementary school and we found a nice understanding and collegiality and since then we meet again. Jan Tomanek jr., who's father has been noticed by the people of similar annual as an animator of various stories contained in the cult-comics of our childhood - The Quarterfoil, as by the way, went on the similar way. During almost identical experiences - big understanding - with "well-experienced" Czech managers, sponsors and producers, he took all in his own hands, he founded an animation studio AAA and his amazing project is the first 3D animated movie in the Eastern Europe, based on the stories of Old Prague, called The Goat Story.  The movie has already it's premiere date set-up on 16.10.2008 and I'm looking forward very much, because I wish and I'm happy for everyone, who pursues of anything and goes for it, and also because in my opinion it will be simply the BOMB :o).

[25.6.08] At Pastviny won't appear actual group of Blackbirds, but the old group

Because of working load of the players of actual group of Blackbirds in other projects and bands there came up as an stand-in "the old group" with which I've been playing before. They've learned also some of my songs and sometimes will appear as an alternative acompaning group.

[25.6.08] Guest performances with the band Professor

Some time ago you could have read about ending of all collaboration with the band Professor. But it has been said never say never, and so some time ago we've met with Richard Markuzy and we said ourselves, we'll play together sometimes. There are many reasons and for me one of them - without covering - is that the boss of this group is Richard and he also takes care about things around, so I enjoy the splendid luxury, that I don't have to care about everything, so I focus on playing, as it is normal in other bands. In my band I do the work of ten people and it is sometimes going up to your brain. So someone else drives, manages the technical arrangements, management, etc. Simply the luxury. And the next reason is, that my group focuses more on original songs and I alibisticly play the old songs with Richard's band, where I'm "only" a guest, and which is revival.

And above that the next reason is, that Richard lately, as helping hand, takes a part in my band, so it is actually logic set-up of things and it goes well together.

[8.6.08] So I've been invited to Balaton

Even if I thankfully declined the proposal to perform at the afterparty after the concert of Queen & P. Rodgers on October (we've already performed there once some time ago - 16.4.2005) because we are somewhere else and we don't want to participate in revival anymore, and I also wanted to let the opportunity to may be given  for some new revival band, I couldn't let pass the invitation from The Queen Unplugged Project to perform at their convention at Balaton. Especially, when my partner for travelling and for an event will be Freddie's secretary and companion - and a very fine guy -  Peter Freestone.

[26.5.08] Performing at the International Carpathia Festival in Rzeszow, Poland

Today afternoon I have arrived back home, full of emotions after spending a few beautiful days, being invited to perform at the International Carpathia Festival in Poland. It took approx. 12 hours there and 12 hours back of driving with my old Ford Fiesta. More info will come later, but for now I must say - I fell in love with them. Everybody was so nice and they treated me like a star. Everything was so professional and bigger than I was used to from The Czech Republic. And Polish girls - as you can see - are sooooo beautiful :o). Everybody and especially our assistants - on the picture - were so nice and beautiful. I miss them all :o). And hope to come back there soon :o).

[15.5.08] Blackbirds live on the radio

If you will be nearby radio on Saturday 17.5.08, at 7 pm, don't forget to listen, because the introducing song of The Beatles, of whole event is played by us - and directly to the broadcast on the air of Regina radio :o). ... So let's hope there won't be raining :o).

[5.5.08] Blackbirds to perform at the open-air Beatlemania at Pruhonice

Will see if there's gonna be flood and stormy. I saw it once with Professor, and they had to cancel the performance. But if there's going to be soft or normal rain, it's going to happen :o). About the details you get to know by the way on the waves of the Oldies radio, where it is being told by the organizer of the event and the president of fanclub Beatles Jirka Svatek.

Beatles have been for me until today musical alphabet and Paul McCartney one of my biggest idols, so we gladly accepted the offer.

So let's hope the weather will be nice :o).

[5.5.08] Beautiful marriage, beautiful bride and likeable bridegroom

That even gigs for an order - and infront of all - the marriages, could be often awesome, this we've been persuaded by a bride and bridegroom and wedding guests in the area Na Korabe in Prague. Only the plaster pterodactylus didn't like being by the reprobox at the begining, but after he got used to it and at least became dancing :o)
